Jamshedpur, Aug 11: Madrasi Sammelani organized Patti Mandram (a debate competition in Tamil) today at its premises. With the subject “Social Media a Boon for Bane”, the event saw a total of 10 participants, 5 each for the motion and 5 against the motion.
Karthik S, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Seraikela Kharswan, was the moderator at the function who in his inimitable style conducted the proceedings which enlivened the event and the audience thoroughly enjoyed the show.
While R Vignesh, Swarnamani, Sathyamurthi, S Srinivasan and Ravi Prasanth contested for the motion, Bhanumathi, Subhash Chandra Bose, R Balakrishnan, Srinivasan R and Balakrishnan Velusamy debated against the motion.
Earlier G R Murti, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Madrasi Sammelani, welcomed Karthik S with a bouquet and Prof Vijaya Raghavan of XLRI, Jamshedpur, while introducing the moderator to the audience also laid importance of healthy debates.
