Jamshedpur: Narbheram Hansraj English School organised an Inter School Debate Competition, ‘NHES DEBATE 2018-19’ in the school auditorium on Wednesday. The topic for the debate was- Voters should be given the choice “None of the above.”
Loyola School was declared the winner of the contest and Hill Top School ended as runners-up. Airene Ganguly of Loyola School was declared the best speaker of the competition.
Seventeen schools of Jamshedpur participated in the contest. Each participant was allowed three minutes to speak and two minutes were allotted for rebuttal. The judges were impressed by the speaking skills of the budding talents. The judges for the contest were- Prof. Yahiya Ibrahim (H.O.D. English, Karim City College), Daphne D’Souza (Former Head of Corporate Communications, Tata Motors and Antara Bose (Senior Correspondent with The Telegraph).
The Debate Competition came to an end with the declaration of the results by the Principal of the school, Paramita Roy Chaudhury.
