Jamshedpur, Aug. 10: Loyola School hosted an Inter School Fest Kaleidoscope 2K18 on Friday that witnessed a host of events that brought forth the spirit of competition among the students of Kindergarten to class 5.
The fest was inaugurated in the Fasy Auditorium. The students of the guest schools , their teachers and the judges were welcomed with a prayer, a song and a dance. Over four hundred students from a total of 16 schools participated. There were six events in all.
The Vintage Babies , a fancy dress competition for KG and Std I placed on stage , cute little children dressed as historical characters . Splendid dance performances from the Black and White era , put up by the students of Std 2 and 3 in Happy Feet had the audience asking for more .
Stories from the Panchatantra and the Hitopdesa came alive in the Hindi Skit event, Who Bhuli Daastan. Hats Off saw a flurry of activity among the students of Std 4 and 5 who, at their creative best , made fantastic hats using eco-friendly material. To sharpen the intelligence quotient of the students was the quiz, Time Line with cutting edge competition and nail biting moments.
The budding models of Std 4 and 5 flaunting costumes inspired by the ancient civilizations , carried themselves with aplomb. Walking down the ramp , they were a run-away hit !
The overall trophy was bagged by Carmel Junior College while Narbheram English School was the first runners’ up and Hill Top School was the second runners up. The best disciplined school was declared to be Xaviers School Ghamaria .The vice principal of Loyola School , Father MaichaelFernandes gave away the prizes and the coordinator of the junior section, Vineeta F. Ekka gave the vote of thanks.
