Jamshedpur, Sept. 30: In a shocking incident, two girls, including a minor were allegedly abducted by their lovers in separate incidents under Birsanagar and Telco police station area.
In one of the case registered with the Birsanagar thana, the police succeeded in tracing the girl and her lovers from NH-33. With the help of the Hazaribag police on Wednesday they were traced. In another case registered with the Telco police station a police team went to Ranchi after getting information about the abduction victim’s whereabouts there.
According to police, Sangeeta Kumari (21) who is a resident of Zone No 1-B in Birsanagar eloped from her house since Tuesday morning. Concerned the family members had searched for her in the relatives and friends’ house. When they failed, they suspected her to have gone away with her boy friend Vishal Kamath.
Sangeeta’s father Surender Singh lodged an FIR against Kamath with the Birsanagar thana on Tuesday night. The accused is a resident of Parsudih must have abducted his daughter for marriage purposes.
The OC, Birsanagar police station Rajiv Kumar Jha said as they had the cell phone numbers of both the accused and the girl, they put them on surveillance.
” During the investigation we came to know that both were on NH-33 close to Hazaribagh. Soon we contacted the Hazaribag police and alerted them, giving the details about the girl’s appearance. The Hazaribag police launched drive the incoming vehicles and ultimately traced the girl and her lover on Wednesday morning. They were in a car, and heading toward Hazaribagh town” said Jha.
