JMM working committee holds meet, Marandi gives pep talk to party workers
Ranchi, Mar 30: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) today officially declared its candidates for the two Lok Sabha seats which it has been allotted as part of Mahagathbandhan in the state. It has been decided that party supremo and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi would contest from Koderma while Principal General Secretary and MLA Pradeep Yadav would be fielded from Godda. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the working committee of the party.
Addressing the meeting, Marandi said all party workers should work hard to ensure the victory of party candidates as well as the victory of other Mahagathbandhan allies. He said the JVM workers were full of enthusiasm and committed to win the LS polls.
“We have to uproot the BJP and oust it from Jharkhand once and for all this election. This is why the party has appointed coordinators on all 14 LS seats. These coordinators will visit their respective constituencies and collaborate with the grand alliance partners at local level. The names of coordinators will be announced on Sunday,” said Marandi.
After the meeting, party vice president Sabha Ahmad and general secretary Bandhu Tirkey jointly addressed a press meet. They said the Mahagathbandhan had decided to give seven seats to Congress, four to JMM, two to JVM and one to RJD.
According to Tirkey, Marandi has given tips to party workers on how to win the upcoming Parliamentary elections. Party workers were given important advice on winning the Koderma, Godda and other 12 LS seats of Jharkhand under the banner of Mahagathbandhan. Party workers have been asked not to leave a single seat for the BJP to win this time.
Tirkey said Marandi was sure to win from Koderma with a landslide margin. He said the party will support all alliance partners to ensure the victory of Mahagathbandhan.
