Jamshedpur, July 12: In view of the disconcerting spread of coronavirus infection, Kapali, adjoining Jamshedpur and under Saraikela-Kharsawan district, has been put under lockdown barring essential supplies’ outlet like grocery stores, fruits, vegetables, milk and medicine shops.

Kapali outpost OC Arun Oran said that acting on the Deputy Commissioner’s orders, the police went out and closed all markets with necessary directives to shopkeepers concerned. Oraon said that shopkeepers selling fruits, vegetables, grocery items, milk and medicines were directed to strictly ensure that social distancing was maintained in their establishments and only customers wearing masks were to be provided goods. He said that any person breaking protective protocols would face legal proceedings.
