Jamshedpur, Dec 3: One of the most reputed schools of Steel City, Little Flower School (LFS) was crowned champions of ‘Tata Steel Inter-State School Quiz’ today at Tata Auditorium, XLRI.
LFS team comprising of Shivangi Lahiri and Promita Sinha were awarded cash prize of Rs 35000 while Rajendra vidyalaya team of Sanidhya Kumar and Sanket Mandal bagged the runners up tag and were awarded Rs 25000 in cash and Delhi Public School, Ranchi comprising Agnimitra Anand and Pratyush Mishra were third in the event and were given away cash prize of Rs 15000.
In the final round eight schools qualified including Delhi Public School, Ranchi, Rajendra vidyalaya, Dav Public School, Bistupur, Little Flower School, Dav Public School, Cuttack, Motilal Nehru Public School, Loyola School and D B M S English School.
Tata Steel organised the Grand Finale of the Tenth Edition of ‘Tata Steel Inter-State School Quiz’. The quiz saw an overwhelming response for the student fraternity from Ranchi, Bhubaneswar and Jamshedpur. This year, the tournament witnessed participation of more than 200 teams from 30 schools of Jamshedpur.
Six teams of Jamshedpur qualified in the finals along with regional round winners from Ranchi and Bhubaneswar. Alok Kanagat, Vice President, Engineering & Projects, Tata Steel gave away prizes to the winners.
The Quiz was conducted by one of India’s leading quiz agencies Greycaps Private Limited. Quiz Master Giri Balasubramaniyan, fondly called ‘Pickbrain by his ever growing fan of quizzers across the country hosted the proceedings.
Giri is known to match his wits with the participants making the experience both knowledgeable and enjoyable.
