Jamshedpur : Zimmedaar Nagrik Zimmedaar Shaher campaign has gained momentum and has started creating
an impact in the city with people especially school and college children actively participating in the drive.
Mrs KMPM Inter College has launched a four days long programme from the 20th to the 23rd dedicating all events and
competitions to this citizen’s awareness campaign.
Mr Ritu Raj Sinha, Chairman, Steering Committee, JTO, launched the programme with a tree plantation drive and flagged off an awareness Rally which included almost 150 students, teachers and the Principal of the college as well.
In his inaugural address Mr Ritu Raj Sinha stressed on the issue of safety on roads especially for students and urged them to ride safe and make use of helmets and adhere to traffic norms along with the message of making Jamshedpur a much more cleaner and greener city.
The Rally started from the premises of the college, went past the bistupur main traffic signal, came to the JUSCO Corporate Office and returned back to the college. Children are the main flag bearers and involving them in this campaign is very important.
In future, similar programmes will be organized with other schools. The other events planned are as on 21st November, there will be the screening of the “Hamara Garv, Hamara Shaher”, movie on the campaign and presentation of the Nukkad Natak which has been appreciated wherever it has been performed.
There will also be quiz contest, best out of waste, and dustbin making competitions to help generate consciousness to help make this city a better place to live in.
