Jadugoda, Dec 10: Young Rising Star Club organized a two day football tournament on December 8 and 9 at the CISF barrack ground in Jadugoda. 48 teams from Saraikela, Odisha, Potka, Musabani, Dumaria and other places participated in the tournament that concluded today. Kingfisher FC of Potka won the championship along with a prize money of Rs 40 thousand. ABC Rajdoha were the runners up and took home Rs 30 thousand as cash award. YCC team of Raipahadi and FC Golmuri were placed third and fourth and won Rs 15 thousand and Rs 10 thousand respectively.
Chief guest and UCIL employee Baban Sharma gave away the prizes and appreciated the friendly spirit shown during the matches. The organizing committee comprised club president Kunwar Murmu, secretary Shimal Soren, Muni Ram, Sanjay Sreshtha, RS Banra, Rajendra Baskey, Ravindra Tudu, Vikram Hansda, Phagu Murmu and Arjun Hansda.
