Jamshedpur, July 14: The Bhatin villagers have made an unauthorized speed breaker whose height and width has been accounting for several mishaps on this vital Jadugoda-Narwa route. Vehicle drivers are wary of this ‘killer’ and unauthorized speed breaker as many four and three-wheelers get their underbellies scraped. Drivers tend to lose control in their effort to negotiate this breaker and many accidents have taken place and some dangerous ones averted providentially.
Today UCIL employee SN Ashok while going to Jadugoda from Jamshedpur on his scooter met with an accident when he failed to negotiate the speed breaker and the scooter toppled over. SN Ashok received serious injuries as a result of the accident and he somehow managed to reach the UCIL Hospital where he was treated.
Ashok later informed, “Many persons are falling prey to this speed breaker mad by the villagers near Bhatin. I have already informed the Deputy Commissioner and requested him for the removal of this speed breaker that has seen to various categories of injuries to commuters especially to two-wheeler riders.”
