Jamshedpur: Members of Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha (ABKM) and Antar Rashtriya Kshatriya Veerangana Foundation met Chief Minister Raghubar Das and demanded a ban on screening of the film ‘Padmavati’ in Jharkhand. They handed over a memorandum to the CM in this connection.
The national general secretary of ABKM, Dr MS Singh Manas, and principal general secretary of Veerangana Foundation, Bharati Singh, said so far five states have banned the film’s release. They said various Hindu organizations wanted a ban on the release of the film.
In the memorandum addressed to the CM, ABKM members said the Hindu sentiment was greatly offended by the film’s contents and visuals. The outfit members further said that the film producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali is trying to distort historical facts and bring a bad name to Rani Padmavati.
