Jamshedpur, Feb 14: A revamped and modernised Kantilal Gandhi Memorial Hospital reopened its doors to the city of Jameshedpur On Friday, Feb 14. It was inaugurated by T.V. Narendran, MD Tata Steel in the presence of Koushik Chatterjee, Group Executive Director, Tata Steel, Dr Alok Roy, Chairman, Medica, Dr. Ajay Kumar, MP, and G. Ramdas, Secretary, KGMH.
In its second coming, the hospital has the backing of Kolkata-based Medica Superspecialty Hospital, a 500-bed state-of-the-art unit run by a group of healthcare professionals. Having started about 4 years ago, Medica has established itself as the pioneers in providing world
class healthcare at affordable rates in eastern India and has multiple footprints in various cities.
Tata Steel is known for its philanthropic activities and contribution to the society through various welfare projects, which have benefitted thousands of people. It has also been Medica’s endeavour to be of service to the society by providing quality healthcare at rates affordable to all. The hospital has been involved in different projects that have benefitted various sections of the people of Kolkata. KGMH in its new format is a collaboration that aims to bring to Jamshedpur the benefits of modern healthcare at costs that will be well within the reach of the people of the city.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Alok Roy reiterated, “It has always been Medica’s endeavour to provide the best of services.
