Jamshedpur, July 9: An engrossing stage presentation based on Ho folklore, ‘Lalach buri bala,” written and directed by Gautam Gope for Kaladham, was staged at Jagannath Auditorium in Sonari today. This presentation is one in a series of stage plays under the aegis of Indian Institute of Social Democracy, New Delhi to foster social cooperation.
The play’s theme is based on human trafficking. The story revolves on two friends who go in quest of sweet fruits. A crow tells them that such fruits were available in the jungle. The two girls do go there and find the sweet fruits but lurking human traffickers manage to forcefully carry one of them away while the other is saved by the Munda king.
The sets, costumes, light and sound effects were of the highest order. The actors did a grand job and their performances gelled well with the general milieu.
