Jamshedpur: Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh, a philanthropic organisation, will host a cultural soiree, on last Monday of Sawan on August 12. Popular Bollywood singer Kailash Kher along with his 16-member team will perform at the Sakchi Gurdwara grounds. It will be for the first time that Kher will perform in a religious function of the State.
Addressing a news meet here on Tuesday, Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh founder and former state BJP spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale said the event would be organised on grand scale. He said that the best part of the event will be performance of Dhanbad-based artists Abhishek Mukherjee and Ruchit Agarwal from AR Divine Band. Kale informed that these artists are being provided a platform to showcase their talent under the guidance of Kher.
“It is the 18th year that the event is being organised. We are taking every step to ensure proper arrangements. A huge waterproof pandal is being constructed at the venue . The 1 km stretch of Kalimati Road in front of Sakchi Gurdwara would be illuminated on both sides. Another attraction will be a 10 feet high Shivling made of ice specially for the event,” said Singh adding that they were expecting a turnout of around 15,000 people for the event that will start at 6 pm and continue till midnight.
One of the highlights of the function will be the presentation of Sangh Ratna Seva Award, which was instituted a few years ago. The award is presented to people for their distinguished service towards the society.
Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh had been organising function on the last Monday of Shravan. Bhojpuri singer Bharat Sharma had performed at the grounds while noted bhajan singer Lakhbir Singh Lakkha had mesmerized the audience with his melodious voice in 2009. Popular Bhojpuri singers Manoj Tiwari, and Devi had also staged performances here in the past.
