Jamshedpur : JVM has called economic meet on October 26 and 27. In a meeting at the party office Kasheedih MP Dr. Ajay Kumar , Abhay Singh , former minister Dulal Bhuiyan , Feroz Khan , spokesman Kolhan CH Ramamurthy were present.
In protest against potholes at the NH-33 stretch linking state capital and Jamshedpur will witness blockade.
Jharkhand Vikas Morcha has decided to call an economic blockade to demand repair of the National Highway 33 and construction of roads at various places from Jamshedpur to Baharagora.
The party has taken the decision after finding the state government’s stance on the NH issue is slow. “‘The horrible condition of the NH-33 between Ranchi and Jamshedpur is a clear example of that negligence.
If there is a delay on part of the NH agency then at least the state government should carry out temporary repairing of the highway.
What is stopping the local government from improving the pathetic condition,” said Abhay Singh senior leader. He said the stretch between Chandil and Dimna, on the NH-33, is pitiable and deserves immediate attention but concerned agencies of the state government are apparently insensitive to the issue.
He has alleged that the state government authorities have failed to take notice of the NH issue. He said the party will go on an indefinite agitation as per a decision already reached by the party members.
The proposed meeting has been convened only to chalk out the agitation plan, he said.
