Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee has allowed the P&M Hi-Tech Mall City Centre in Bistupur to collect parking fee at a new regularized rate. The Special Officer of JNAC Sanjay Kumar directed the mall management to collect Rs 10 instead of Rs 15 from each two-wheeler. For the first 15 minutes, no parking fee will be charged. Parking for bicycles has been made free with the view to motivate people to use bicycles for transportation.
The JNAC Special Officer had convened a meeting with RK Agrawal, partner of the multiplex, vice president Subhojeet Pakrasi and AGM S Bhattacharya to resolve the parking issue. The mall management officials said a huge amount was being spent on providing parking facility to the visitors. Kumar said the parking fee should not be collected with the view to earn profit. He said very soon the JNAC would be formulating its parking rules for the city.
