Jadugoda: JMM leader Baghrai Mardi today held a meeting with the villagers of Kulamara in Mosabani Block where they informed about persisting problems like bad road conditions, paucity of drinking water, issuance of ration cards and others. This is in sequel to the instruction of JMM district president and Ghatshila legislator Ramdas Soren who has instructed all party leaders to visit rural areas and make lists of the problems being faced by the villagers so that they could be ameliorated. The lists will then be handed over to the party’s district president.
JMM leader Baghrai Mardi said that in spite of Jharkhand receiving statehood 21 years ago, the lack of adequate awareness the villagers have largely remained unaware of the various development schemes launched by the government. “This is the main reason for the villagers remaining backward. It is absolutely necessary that awareness drives pertaining to various government schemes be launched so that villagers even in the remotest corners can avail of them and chalk out plans for economic uplift. Only then will the villagers be able to join the mainstream of socio economic activity,” he said.
