Jamshedpur, June 24: Jharkhand State Congress Committee president Dr Ajoy Kumar Monday condemned the alleged lynching of a youth by mob in Seraikela. He said the law and order situation in the state was becoming worse with every passing day.
In a statement issued today, Kumar said the incidents of heinous crimes like murder, loot, dacoity and rape were on the rise all over Jharkhand. He said the state government had failed to control crimes as more and more such incidents were taking place almost every day.
Kumar said police personnel were losing their lives while discharging their duty, but the government is doing nothing. He said the BJP government was basking in its glory after the recent victory in Lok Sabha elections.
The former cop said the government had failed to take concrete action in 18 cases of lynching and similar crimes. He said Union Aviation Minister Jayant Sinha had garlanded a mob lynching accused earlier which was shameful.
