Jamshedpur: Amidst the political helter-skelter to form an alliance, a third front has been created with the merger of Jharkhand People’s Party (JPP), Jharkhand Mukti Morcha — Ulgulan (JMM –U) and Bahujan Mukti Party (BMP).
This was announced at a press meet addressed by JPP president and former legislator Surya Singh Besra, JMM—U president and former parliamentarian Krishna Mardi and BMP state president Shakil Ahmad. The new political party’s name is Janmat. The leaders informed that the party would contest all the 14 Lok Sabha and 81 Vidhan Sabha seats in the state.
The leaders claimed that this new front would prove to be a better alternative. They stated preference would be given to representatives from scheduled caste, scheduled tribes, extremely backward classes and those from minority communities in the process of candidate selection for the various seats.
The leaders dubbed the grand alliance as farce. They stated that the grand alliance comprised corrupt members and leaders and as such it would be rejected by the people. The leaders warned that if the grand alliance succeeded, it would spell danger for the country and the state.
The Janmat leaders claimed that their party would perform credibly at the Hastings and the decision on the chief minister’s post would be decided after the polls. They stated that the chief minister would be an adivasi.
The leaders alleged that a rally had been organized a few days earlier but the administration’s attitude led us to change the venue at the last moment. It was informed that a huge Janmat rally will be organized after Durgotsav at the Ambagan Ground.
