Ranchi, Sept. 14: The much awaited Karbon Jharkhand T20 Tournament will begin today with double-header on Tuesday, September 15 at Jharkhand State Cricket Association (J.S.C.A.) International Stadium Complex. The tournament will continue till October 2nd, 2020.  

The first match of the tournament will be between Ranchi Raiders and Singhbhum Strikers in JSCA main ground at 9.30 am.

Jamshedpur Jugglers will take on Dumka Daredevils in the second match of the day which will begin at 1.30 pm.

All the Matches will be played as per the guidelines of ICC including playing the super over in case of a tie.

To ensure the execution of all the guidelines issued by the Government, a meeting of COVID19 Regulations Enforcement Committee and Medical Team was organized for the players, Support Staff and the Match Officials. The players were briefed about adherence to COVID 19 regulations, Anti-Corruption Code, and their code of conduct during the tournament. Matches will be live streamed on www.fancode.com as well as on the FANCODE App from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Jharkhand T20 League will have Six (6) teams representing six different zones of the state. The six teams will be Ranchi Raiders, Dumka Daredevils, Dhanbad Dynamos, Singhbhum Strikers, Jamshedpur Jugglers and Bokaro Blasters. The teams comprise players who are registered with the Association from within the state of Jharkhand. There are no franchisees or team owners.

A Bio Bubble has been created in the Stadium and strict rules have been put in place for all the players and officials to ensure their safety. All officials and players will reside within the premises of the J.S.C.A. International Stadium. Only players with a negative COVID 19 test report shall be allowed to play. A specific committee headed by the President of the Association has been constituted for enforcing the COVID regulations. Players will have to undergo medical check-ups and thermal screening daily and a Medical Desk is operational round the clock.

Practice session was held at JSCA and Oval Ground. Players from different teams sweated it out ahead of the inaugural match.
