Jamshedpur, April 18: Start-up concept is to provide base to the thinking of the youths. Youths through their innovative thinking and realistic solution can become job creator instead of job seeker who start their search for a job after their education, said East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Amit Kumar while addressing the Global Incubators Boot Camp organised as part of Start-Up Jharkhand Challenge 2017. The Boot Camp was held at Tata Auditorium, XLRI on Tuesday.

DC further said that talented youths instead of looking for jobs should work on to become job creators and provide jobs.

The state government is organizing boot camps called Jharkhand Start-up Challenge across 10 districts wherein teams are scouting innovative business ideas from people, said DC Kumar.

He added that the state information technology (IT) department is giving logistics support, its knowledge partner Global Business Incubation will select ideas if any click and provide angel investment, mentorship or incubation services. Also, if someone has a start-up idea and couldn’t attend boot camps, they can submit it online at www.startupjharkhand.in. The youths will play important role in development of the state and the youths who are IT savvy can work for the benefit of the society and its people.

Srinivas Gogineni, founder of Global Business Incubators (GBI), a New York-based organisation working for innovation and technology-driven development in 34 countries, informed the youths about the technical aspects of Start-Ups and answered several questions asked by the gathering. GBI launched its India operations in 2012 to support youngsters to build entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem.

Present during the boot camp were DDC Suraj Kumar, IBM’s Indrjeet Ghosh and students in large numbers.

It may be noted that the state information technology (IT) department will hold the festival of start-up and business ideas scheduled in August where hackathon, which is for computer software and hardware professionals and students will be part of the festival.
