Hundreds of party workers and supporters take out procession to SDO office

Jamshedpur, Nov 18: Chief Minister Raghubar Das filed nomination as a BJP candidate from Jamshedpur East constituency for the sixth consecutive time on Monday. He was accompanied by hundreds of party workers and supporters who took out a procession to the nomination venue.
Before leaving for the office of sub divisional officer (SDO), Dhalbhum, the CM sought the blessings of his elder sister. His wife Rukmini Devi performed aarti and applied tilak on his head. Thereafter, the CM reached Shitla Mandir in Bhalubasa and performed puja. His son Lalit Das and a huge crowd of supporters accompanied him throughout the day.
The BJP supporters waved party flag and raised slogans in support of Raghubar Das. They also played drums and other traditional musical instruments and election songs. A truck carrying a model of Rafale fighter jet also accompanied the party workers and supporters. The BJP leaders hailed the fighter jet deal as BJP’s achievement.
Before reaching the SDO office, the CM rode an open jeep to Baradwari ground where hundreds of party workers waited for him. Speaking to party workers at Baradwari ground, the CM said serving the people of Jharkhand was his only goal and ambition.
He said he would do his best to live up to the expectations of the people of Jharkhand including the voters of Jamshedpur East constituency. He said eradicating poverty from Jharkhand was his first priority. After addressing party workers, the CM walked his way to the SDO office with party workers.
The BJP leaders present during CM’s nomination included Jamshedpur Mahanagar district president Dinesh Kumar, Sanjeev Singh, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Pawan Agrawal, Mithilesh Singh Yadav, Gurdev Singh Raja, Bhupendra Singh, Satyaprakash Singh, Anil Modi and Gunjan Yadav.
After CM, BJP candidates from Jamshedpur West Devendra Singh and BJP candidate for Jugsalai Muchiram Bauri filed nomination at the SDO office today.
The CM waited for the other party candidates for some time. Veteran party leaders like Manager Prasad, Madhulika Mehta, Ashok Bhatia, Satish Mishra, Yogesh Malhotra, Shailendra Rai and Harikishore Tiwary were also present.
Earlier in the day, the CM, after performing worship at Bhalubasa Shitla Mandir, went to Surya Mandir, Sidhgora and sought the blessings of the Sun God and Goddess Durga.
