Jamshedpur, Nov 8: Chief Minister Raghubar Das arrived in the city on Friday to participate in the Tulsi Vivah and Abhishek ceremony organized in his house every year. A Bhandara will be held in the evening on the day of Tulsi Vivah. More than 500 people attend the bhog distribution ceremony.
Shortly after his arrival, the CM met party leaders and workers before leaving for his Agrico residence. He was accompanied by the state BJP president Laxman Giluwa, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and the MP’s wife. Tomorrow, the CM will participate in the puja and leave for Ranchi after having prasad. He will leave for New Delhi to participate in the party’s Parliamentary Board meeting at 6 pm.
Many BJP leaders were present to welcome the CM. They included Chandra Shekhar Mishra, Kulwant Singh Bunty, Bhupendra Singh, Kamlesh Singh, Amarjeet Singh Raja, Rakesh Singh, Gautam Prasad and Hari Kishore Tiwary.
BJP leaders Ramesh Hansda and Vimal Baitha touched the CM’s feet despite a huge crowd. They expect ticket from the party in the upcoming Assembly polls.
Due to Model Code of Conduct, no administrative official was present at the Airport to welcome the CM. Security was however tightened everywhere in the city.
