Gamharia: Jharkhand Taekwondo Academy and Social Action (JTASA) team bagged the third slot in the National Taekwondo Championship organized in Girish Park, Kolkata. The team won 11 gold, 11 silver and 21 bronze medals. Bengal emerged the champion team with Chhattisgarh placed in the second spot.
JTASA director Ravi Shankar congratulated the team for its showing at the National meet and expressed his happiness on this achievent. Team coach Dayal Singh Mehra, Vikram Barik, Vishakha Mal, manager Sumant Kumbhakar and Balram Tanti were present on the occasion.
The gold medalists were Sanjana Kumari, Ashmi Kumari, Rupa Ranjani, Priya Rani, Anantika Behra, Hemant Kumar Mardi, Vimal Soren, Abhijit Mandal, Ashok Mahto and Abhinav Raj.
Neha Kumari, Priti Nag, Akanksha Rani, Puja Prantika, Nageshwari Baskey, Nitish Pradhan, Adarsh Singh, Aman Gupta, Abhishek Das, Kashinath Bera and Ravi Mishra won silver medals.
Bronze medals were won by Mohini Tudu, Smriddhi Mishra, Sujata Koda, Sanchita Mahto, Khushi Kumari, Ankita, Mahima Lakra, Priyanka Mandi, Vivek Raj Mahto, Shanka Godsora, Sumit Kumar Mahto, Rahul Sanga, Rohit Sanga, Sujal Kansari, Dev Pradhan, Aman Raj, Aditya Kumar, Amarnath Rai, Balbir Das, Shivam Mishra, Jai Prakash and Vishal Munda.
