Jamshedpur/Baharagora, July 3: Popular social organization doing yeomen service in the rural belt of the state, Nischaya Foundation has hit upon the noble concept of saluting Shahid Ganesh Hansda by launching a fellowship by picking five rural students each year who have passed their class X examinations and sponsoring their studies upto graduation.
Nischaya Foundation’s founder secretary and recognized social activist Tarun Kumar today met the martyr’s parents Kapra Hansda (mother) and Sugda Hansda (father), brother Dinesh Hansda and the other family members to discuss the proposal of fellowship in the name of their valiant son, Shahid Ganesh Hansda.
A meeting was organized with the family. Others who participated in the discussions held in the martyr’s village home at Kosaphalia village in Baharagora Block were the village head, Mukhiya, Baidyanath Hansda, Phagu Ram Hansda and other villagers. The details were discussed and the family members and the villagers expressed their satisfaction over the concept of awarding Shahid Ganesh Hansda Fellowship to five selected rural students who had passed their class X examinations.
Tarun Kumar said that as per discussions held today, a fellowship committee comprising family members of Shahid Ganesh Hansda, Nischaya Foundation representative, Panchayat representative, youth member, educationists, administrative official, social worker and other notable persons would be formed soon.
Martyr Ganesh Hansda’s brother, Dinesh said on the occasion, “We are proud of Ganesh. He made us, the entire country proud by sacrificing his life for the country and her people. The fellowship is indeed a novel move to perpetuate my valiant brother’s memory.”
It was also decided during the discussions to document all incidents related to Ganesh Hansda’s life, publish a comic book series and set up a library and a memorial park in the Shahid’s name.
