Jamshedpur, Nov 8: Jamshedpur’s shy, demure Indian Idol aspirant has certainly not taken a piggy ride to the Top 15 contestants’ lineup for a place under the crowning glory. Nidhi Kumari Prasad showed her inclination for music at a very tender age which her mother Rita Kumari recognized and since then was determined to make her daughter pursue her cherished desire and finally make a career in this stream of performing art. That Nidhi is about to make headlines not only for Jamshedpur but for entire Jharkhand is a matter of anticipated expectation for a vocal performer who had come up thus far in the live show on Sony channel, ‘Indian Idol.’
Rita Kumari’s determination and faith ultimately dawned on Nidhi’s father Sanjay Kumar as he too saw the light at the end of the tunnel of unending learning and success so much so that the parents shifted base from Chakradharpur to Jamshedpur for Nidhi’s better and higher pursuits in the vocal music genre. Currently Nidhi Kumari Prasad is pursuing her music course (graduation) at Jamshedpur Women’s College under the tutelage of widely reputed music teacher Sanatan Deep who, in fact, is her pillar of confidence.
The ‘shy girl’s’ talents boosted her to a role model singer of the university. Later she partivcipated in such popular live music plathforms like Sa re ga ma, Zee Bangla where too she left her mark on viewers and judges but could not make much headway. Her efforts and perceverenece ultimately found the right platform in Sony’s ‘Indian Idol’ where she stands on the threshold of a brighter and more promising horizon of greater prospects learning wise and career wise. No doubt that veteran singer whose voice mesmerizes the world, Alka Yagnik had said that listening to Nidhi made her see the reflection of herself! What greater appreciation can a promising singing sensation get? The judges at the show Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and Anu Mallik have provided effusive praise for this young artiste.
What Nidhi Kumari needs now to win the highest honour are the blessings of the people by way of votes from the people of Jamshedpur and entire Jharkhand. Nidhi herself has posted videos and WhatsApp and facebook appealing for votes. Voting will start from 8 pm and continue till 12 am during telecast of ‘Indian Idol’ on Saturday, Nov 19. Voting can be done through Sony Live mobile app and firstcry.com. Her relatives, friends and well wishers have launched Nidhi Fans Club and the members are moving around the city and nearby places asking people to cast their votes in this city and state’s own newfound ‘Sensation.’ The Nidhi Fans Club comprises Bhanu Priya, Pragyan, Apurva, Prakash, Vikas, Ajay, Amit, Tarun, Bablu, Nisha, Abhishek and other youth. “Don’t worry you Fan Gang! The city and the people of Jharkhand are all with you – our own Sweet, shy Nidhi!”
