Jamshedpur : A delegation of Jharkhand Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee met IG Naveen Kumar and handed a memorandum to him that was addressed to the DGP.
The delegation led by chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh demanded a fair inquiry into the incident related to arresting of Rajiv Duggal. He said that Dugal has been falsely implicated into the case of trafficking. “ We met the senior police officials of Jharkhand and have appraised them our concern. Rajiv Dugal is a man of dignity and have been falsely implicated into the case of trafficking. We demand immediate release of him,” said Singh.
Following the arrest of leading industrialist and hotelier Rajiv Dugal, the Sikhs have expressed their concern. The delegation demanded a fair and high level probe.
Meanwhile, the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Manoj Kumar had dismissed the bail pleas of Rajeev Dugal, owner of Hotel Alcor in Bistupur accused in operating prostitution racket at Hotel Alcor.
An FIR was lodged against the accused at Bistupur police station on the complaint of CCR DSP Arvind Kumar. On 25 April, Bistupur police team, led by a magistrate had raided the hotel in lockdown. Railway contractor Mangotia, Rajat Jaggi and Deepak Agarwal were caught from the hotel. Those arrested were The Alcor Hotel’s owner Rajiv Dugal, hotel manager Dhananjay Singh, Sharad Poddar, Rahul Agrawal and the girl who is a resident of Kolkata was staying at the hotel.
Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh said that even Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee and Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee have been hurt by the arrest of Rajiv Dugal.
