Jamshedpur, Sept. 23: Coronavirus cases continue to rise in Jamshedpur. The positive cases have climbed to 12,487 in district with 117 new cases reported on Wednesday.
Positive tally has climbed to 12,487 while the death toll has reached 299 with 1 death on Wednesday.
112 people recovered of the virus on Wednesday taking the total recovery to 10190 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1998. The district administration spokesperson informed that 117 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Wednesday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 65920 test per million. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum stands at 2.4 % while recovery rate is 82.4%.
With a total of 1,141 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the state on Wednesday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has crossed 75000 mark.
Three deaths have been reported in Jharkhand on Wednesday including 1 each from Jamshedpur, Ramgarh and West Singhbhum.
The overall death count stands at 648 in Jharkhand.
As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state is 12,882 while number of cured and discharged cases is 61,559.
On Wednesday a maximum number of 413 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 117 in Jamshedpur, 78 in Bokaro, 25 in Saraikela and 70 in West Singhbhum districts.
A total of 1,232 number of people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 112 from Jamshedpur.
Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly to 78.69 per cent.
The first case of the pandemic was reported from Hindpiri on March 31, when a 22-year-old Malaysian woman, who had been to Delhi’s Tablighi Jamaat congregation, tested positive. She has since been discharged after being recorded from the dreaded disease.
The Jharkhand government has extended the coronavirus pandemic-triggered lockdown in containment zone in the state till September 30. However, all the economic activities in the state are allowed outside containment zones.
