Jamshedpur, Sept 10: L Raj Mohan, a newspaper and magazine seller who has been running his business from a makeshift shed near bank of Baroda in Bistupur since the past 35 years has beaten the vagaries of nature trhough time to keep his family somehow afloat during challenging economic times. Raj Mohan has appealed to Tata Steel and TSUISL (formerly JUSCO Ltd) for a shop premise in Bistupur market but all the while he has lived on the assurances of the officials concerned. Like other daily earners, his business also wavered during the COVID and lockdown times thus making it even more difficult for this vendor to keep his body and soul intact.
L Raj Mohan who is a resident of Namda Basti in Golmuri had approached the Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for getting him a shop premise in Bistupur from where he could conduct his routine business. He had requested the Chief Minister in his letter to discuss the matter with Tata Steel and TSUISL officials for allotting a shop to him in Bistupur. As of now, L Raj Mohan is looking forward expectantly for the Chief Minister’s consideration.
