Jamshedpur, Nov. 16: Jamshedpur FC players have been undergoing intense training ahead of their away match against FC Pune City on November 21. The team, under the supervision of head coach Cesar Ferrando, sweated it out at the Tata Football Academy (TFA) ground. The training focused on players’ coordination to enhance and create goal scoring opportunities.
Team Jamshedpur FC will leave for Pune on November 19 but without its star performer Tim Cahill. The Aussie legend is in the USA and will return to Jamshedpur on November 22 after playing his final international match for Australia against Lebanon on November 20. This will give local lad Gaurav Mukhi a chance to prove his mettle as a forward.
Jamshedpur FC played its last ISL game against Delhi Dynamos on November 4 which ended in 2-2 draw. With more than 15 days before the next match, the JFC players have had enough time to relax and overcome injuries. It is worth mentioning that Jamshedpur FC has not lost a match in the Indian Super League (ISL) season 5 but five draws have put the team in a spot of bother.
JFC will have to win a minimum of five games to qualify for the playoffs; but the team has played five draws after which coach Cesar Ferrando, during training sessions, has planned strategies on creating opportunities to score more goals. During training every aspect of the game is being taken into account.
FC Pune City has not had the best of times in the league so far and Jamshedpur FC would like to grab three points from the match on November 21. FC Pune City is currently in tenth position. Pune has so far played seven matches losing five of them. They just have two points from their fragile outing this season so far.
On the other hand, Jamshedpur FC has 11 points and is currently in the fourth place.
