Over 23,000 tickets sold for Dec 1 clash against ATK
Jamshedpur, Nov. 21: Jamshedpur Football Club (JFC) is all set to play its historical first Indian Super League (ISL) match at its home ground on December 1 when they play against ATK (Kolkata based ISL club) at JRD Tata Sports Complex. The capacity of the stadium is 23,542 out of which 23,000 tickets have been sold till Monday, November 20. The debut ISL match in Jamshedpur is all set to be house full and the atmosphere created by the fans for the home matches will be the one to look forward to.
Wearing their passion for the game on their sleeves, Jamshedpur FC launched its ticket sales for their maiden season in the Indian Super League (ISL). While offline tickets are being sold through the counters at JRD Tata Sports Complex online buyers have sold from multiple retail partners in Jamshedpur and its neighbouring areas.
Most of the tickets priced at Rs 50, Rs 150, 200 and Rs 240 have been purchased by local clubs affiliated to the Jamshedpur Sporting Association (JSA), organisers of the local football units, schools and college students.
“We are really excited to see overwhelming response in the city. Around 500 tickets are left to be sold. They will soon finish from the counters,” a JFC official said. Out of the 500 tickets, the JFC management has kept some tickets, mostly of Rs 2,500 denomination, reserved for VVIPs, VIPs and other invitees.
Led by powerful players JFC, played a goalless draw against Northeast United FC in Guwahati in the opening match on November 18, are currently in Kochi for their next outing versus last ISL edition’s runner-up Kerala Blasters FC. The match is scheduled on November 24.
