Jamshedpur, June 20: The General Manager of Bank of Baroda (BOB), Patna Circle and Circle Head Rajendra Kumar, presided over a review meeting of all the major branches of Jharkhand, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur regions, at Jamshedpur Regional office in Bistupur on Wednesday. He reviewed the business and performance of the banks with the branch managers.
On the occasion Rakesh Manik, regional head, Jamshedpur, deputy regional head Anirudh Mishra and Satish Chandra Singh were present. Branch managers of 11 branches of Jamshedpur attended the review meet.
Later, talking to the media, Rajendra Kumar informed that during the meeting with branch managers of which some have just recently taken up the charge, were told to focus on the retail business and non-performing assets (NPAs) recovery.
BOB GM further said that there are total 466 branches and 455 ATMs of the bank in the Zone which includes Jharkhand, Bihar and Orrisa and the bank is trying its best to provide utmost customer service.
‘We are planning to set up 50 express lobby of BOB in the zone which will include passbook printing machine, ATM, cash deposit machine’, said Kumar, adding, ‘Bank has set the target to provide alternate delivery channel (ADC) of 80 % by March 2019 as Baroda Connect, an internet banking product of Bank of Baroda, is the very important alternate delivery channel (ADC).
He went on to say branch managers were told to aware the customers about the various schemes of Government of India like Atal Pension Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Jeevan Suraksha, Gold Loan etc and also inform about the the benefits of mobile banking, internet banking, Bhim App etc.
