Jamshedpur: Thousands of BJP workers of Jamshedpur Mahanagar participated enthusiastically in the Run For Unity organized on Wednesday to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. They were led by the Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP president Dinesh Kumar. Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran was present among other dignitaries.
The run began at Baridih Durga Puja ground and returned to the same place after moving through Tinplate Chowk in Golmuri. Kumar and other BJP leaders and supporters paid floral tributes to Patel and remembered him for his unparalleled contributions to the country.
Kumar said Sardar Patel was a powerful freedom fighter whose contributions and achievements were long hidden from public glare due to the conspiracies of Congress-led governments. Even history books kept ignoring Patel’s contributions, he said.
Among those who participated in the run included Rajesh Kumar Shukla, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Binod Singh, Rambabu Tiwary, Mithilesh Singh, Khemlal Choudhary, Pawan Agrawal, Anil Modi, Bimal Jalan and Amarjeet Singh Raja.
