Jamshedpur: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur Zest celebrated International Women’s Day by felicitating the women achievers who have been involved in the upliftment of the society, at a city hotel on Thursday.

Members of the club headed by the president Nisha Gadia honoured ten women who are devoting their skills for the social work and making less privileged women speak their minds in a male-dominated world.

Among them the youngest is 13-year-old Mondrita Chatterjee who’s work and thoughts are recommendable for all of us.

A Class VI student of Hill Top School, Telco, Mondrita spent her pocket money to build toilets for poor people in Potka block of East Singhbhum district. Inspired by the Prime Minister’s appeal to participate in making India a clean place to live in by 2019, the minor girl used her savings for constructing toilets. Other women achievers felicitated were Artist Suman Prasad, Writer Kalyani Kabir, Social worker Rajshree Bothra, Taru Gandhi of Roshni NGO’s, Sukhdeep Kaur of Jeevika NGO, Akshara Alok of Myra NGO, Maya Sahay from BKVM and social workers Sandhya Pradhan and Neeta Agarwal.

The past presidents of the club were also felicitated.
