Jamshedpur: A group of students from ISM visited Tata Motors here on Tuesday on an educational tour. The students were accompanied by their teachers. They saw and discussed various aspects of production and marketing with the senior company authorities.
Sources said the aspiring management students learnt about the entire manufacturing process of truck and watched the processes involved very closely. The students visited various departments and productions shops of the company and got useful information about the 40 different stages of truck manufacturing process, their inspection, assembling and various related industrial activities.
The training in-charge of Tata Motors, Krishna Kant Shukla accompanied the students throughout their visit around the plant premises and informed them about the company’s HR policy, way of functioning, conduct of employees and safety arrangements. The students were impressed by the clean environment inside the company premises. They watched a short film on JN Tata and JRD Tata and also visited the Management Training Centre.
The students termed the visit as enriching and useful. They said it not only added to their knowledge and experience but also proved entertaining to them.
