Jamshedpur: The 6th yearly Art Camp was inaugurated at Off the Wall art gallery, Supercenter in Sakchi on Thursday. The four day camp is a visual treat for all art lovers in and around Jamshedpur. This year the camp is held in an International Level, where eminent artists from Bangladesh and Nepal will display their creativity.
Subodh Kumar, ADM (Law & Order) inaugurated the camp by releasing the balloon which was duly signed by all the artists, resembling the motto of the camp Art for All and may the banner of Off the Wall raise high.
20 artists from across the globe, are in Jamshedpur to amaze the art lovers with their brilliant strokes in the canvas.
The camp brings a learning experience for all the budding amateurs of the town, as they can too attend and be a part of this colorful extravaganza. The gallery invites all junior artists with open hands on the second and third day of the camp; where they can communicate with the artists and learn techniques.
An added flavor in the camp would be the documentary films shown during the camp, these films will be slideshows of the life and works of renowned artists, such as: of Md. Kausher Hossain Masud from Dhaka , Bangladesh; N B Gurung from Kathmandu,Nepal; Sanjoy Banerjee from Kolkata and Praween Karmakar from Ranchi.
These are artists who have shown their amazing skills all over the world.
The camp will be in view from 10th to 12th January from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in the morning and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the evening.
Jamshedpur Art lovers can witness the work of Md. Kausher Hossain Masud from Dhaka , Bangladesh ; N B Gurung & Dipendra Benapali from Kathmandu,Nepal ; Amalesh Mazumdar from Jalpaiguri ; Shyamal Sikdar, Moumita Ghosh & Sanjoy Banerjee from Kolkata ; Ranjit Kumar from Bokaro ; Haren Thakur , Zakir Shah and Praween Karmakar from Ranchi and last but not the least Subodh Kumar , Mukta Gupta, Uttam Mallick , Anupam Pal, Anup Sinha and Prabir Shaw from Jamshedpur.
Curator Prabir Shaw says, “We at Off the Wall ensure that each artist receives the artistic space that one desires, our USP has been good hospitality and proper reception and we promise to deliver the same in the years to come.” Gallery owner Divya Taneja was also present at the event.
