Jamshedpur, Feb 18: India won Grand prize of the 26th Lions International Peace Poster Contest held during 2013-14. The Peace Poster created by 13 years old Master Tongbram Mahesh Singh sponsored by the Lions Club of Moirang, Manipur which is the winner of Lions District 322D and Multiple District-322 (Eastern India), has won the Grand prize among the 123 various countries finalists. He is student of class VII of Little Birds’ School, Moirang – 795133, Manipur.

Lions International President Barry Palmer official announced the World winner during meeting with Lions Day with the United Nations (LDUN) at New York (USA). He also congratulated Multiple Council Chairman Rajiw Lochan for bringing laurels to India during his tenure. The theme of the contest was”Our World, Our Future”.

Lions Clubs International has invited Master Tongbram Mahesh Singh to the 97th Lions Clubs International Convention taking place in Toronto (Canada) on 4th – 8th July’2014 for an official recognition of his accomplishment and to receive award including cash award of USD5000. The theme of 2014-15 Peace Poster Contest is “Peace, Love and Understanding” open for 11 – 13 years children.
