Jamshedpur, July 16: Jharkhand Minister Saryu Roy observed Ramarcha Puja at his Bistupur residence on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima. A huge crowd of devotees attended the prayers. Consecrated food will be distributed among an estimated 30, 000 devotees and guests on Wednesday, July 17 at the nearby Milanee premises from 12:30 pm.
Special puris in the form of the ones popular in Arrah with shape and size of elephant ears and accordingly named ‘Hathi Kan Wala Puri’ will be served along with potato and brinjal curry and bundia as consecrated food.
According to religious texts, Ramarcha Puja includes worship of all Gods and Goddesses in the context of Lord Rama and it is believed that all who perform this worship with piety are blessed with fulfillment of their wishes. Religious authorities have stated that among all religious rituals and worship, Ramarcha Puja is the most sacred if performed with purity of heart.
