Jamshedpur: Two gangs of highway looter clashed with each other near Kali Mandir at Belajhuri village under MGM police station area leaving one members of a gang to sustain gun-shot injury.
The man who has sustained gun-shot injury is identified as Lab Kumar (25), a resident of Dimna Road in Mango.Kumar who has sustained bullet injury in his leg was rushed to TMH. “As per our investigation poultry chickens carrying vehicle was spotted coming from the Jamshedpur end. As it was about to cross the Kali Mandir, they stopped it by coming on the middle of the road. While they were engaged in robbing the driver and another man at the vehicle, some bike-borne youths opened fire for driving them away. In course of the firing by the rival gang of looters, Lab Kumar sustained gun-shot injury,” said a police officer.
According the sources, the looters gang which attacked the other gang, causing Lab Kumar to get injured, had later robbed the chicken trader.The sources said the looters who remain active on NH 33 use to target mainly truck and trailer drivers for looting cash and even the vehicles.The OC, MGM police station, Arvind Kumar confirmed about the incident and said that they are probing into the case.As per the information the person who has sustained gun-shot injury and is in the Tata Main Hospital is yet to give a formal statement to the police. But he has stated that he was shot at in sequel to a clash between two highway looters’ gang,” said the officer.
