Jamshedpur, July 30: Deputy Commissioner East Singhbhum, Suraj Kumar has directed all government officials including JNAC Special Officer, and Officers of Jugsalai Municipality, Mango Municipal Corporation and Jamshedpur BDO to ensure adequate food stock, bleaching powder and anti larva spray in relief camps in their respective command areas in view of the waters of Odisha’s Byangbil River exceeding the danger level. In case of emergency, the sluice gates of the Byangbil Dam could be opened that would lead to rise in water levels of the rivers in the district. As such, Suraj Kumar directed that residents along the river banks would have to be removed to shelters. The officials inspected the relief shelters and all emergency arrangements are being put in place.
