Gamharia: There have been many complaints by beneficiaries of Ayushman Yojna (a Government of India initiative) that they have been denied treatment at various hospitals. Taking up the issue, Human Education and Rural Development Society (HERDS) has decided to install complaint boxes at all hospitals. Complaints by the Ayushman Yojna beneficieries would be followed up and a panacea will be provided.
This was stated by HERDS central committee president Abhay Jha at a press meet. He also assured that the organization would take up other social issues in right earnest.
Under HERDS’ scheme of things is the one that revolves around the issue of housing for those who spend their lives under the open sky in and around the station area. Jha said that the organization will take up the issue with the DRM and the local parliamentarian in quest of a solution to such misery.
As regards the government’s announcement to provide loans to the unemployed, Jha remarked, “The announcement has been made for loans to the unemployed. But unfortunately, the banks are denying loan facilities to tribal candidates. We will definitely correspond with the government on the issue of the banks’ apathy towards these people.” He also pointed out that many poor families are yet to be provided with ration cards, Golden Cards and other facilities provisioned by the government. According to the HERDS central committee president informed that it has been decided by the organization to pursue this serious matter with the government.
Among those present at the press meet were HERDS central committee vice president Sanjit Sahu, Chandrakant, Sunil Nayak, Abhinav Khan, Kartick Jha, Nitesh Jha, media in-charge Birju Thakur, district secretary Manjit Singh and V Nimmi Rao.
