Jamshedpur: Former Jharkhand CM and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president Babulal Marandi today said the state government should seriously consider the ownership right issue of the various bastis of Jamshedpur. He said the issue was raised by Chief Minister Raghubar Das many a times. Hence a decision should be taken on the issue by the government, he said.
Speaking to scribes at Circuit House on a visit to the city to participate in a seminar organized by the JVM, Marandi alleged that the BJP was increasingly becoming known for backtracking on its promises. He said the Jharkhand CM followed the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hence in most cases, the state government too, was not keen to keep its promises.
“I was the CM of Jharkhand for 28 months. Had I got full tenure, the state would have changed completely. There is acute scarcity of basic amenities in the state. The government should look into it,” said Marandi.
The former CM further alleged that the state government had allotted mines to companies who were not recommended by it for getting the mining licence. He said he was preparing to contest the 2019 elections as a part of a grand alliance. He however categorically made it clear that he will not join hands with the BJP. “There is no chance of shaking hands with a party which is depriving the people of the state of their rights and robbing Jharkhand of its natural resources,” he said.
