Jamshedpur, Dec 15: A major fire broke out at Furnishing House near Ansari Optical in congested Sakchi Market at around 6 in the evening destroying goods worth lakhs.

The market were the shop is situated is crowded most of time but with the brains working at the right time major incident was avoided and the fire was put out without damaging the shops located near to the furnishing house.

The shop owners and staffs of the area doused the fire by themselves as the fire brigade couldn’t make its way into the congested lines of the market.

The hawkers have captured the footpaths meant for the shoppers and have made life difficult for the commuters.

A big incident was avoided but it’s a wakeup call for the shopkeepers as well as the hawkers whose shops are situated in the area.
