Jamshedpur, Aug 6: Civil contractor Javed was hit by a bullet on his hand while he was returning home. He has been admitted to MGM Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. The incident occurred near Albela Garden under Azadnagar police station. According to Javed, he was returning home in Old Purulia Road in the evening when he spotted some youth arguing among themselves. He went to pacify them when one of them opened fire at him. Javed stated that the youth had fired three shots at him but received one wound on his hand. Javed said that being dark, he could not recognize the shooter or the others. The police have started investigation.

In another incident, an Adityapur Muslim Basti line H resident Ramzan Hussain alias Chowdhary was shot at in his residence by three persons. He was hit on the waist. The incident occurred at 7 pm on Thursday, August 6. According to reports, criminal activities in Adityapur police station areas are on an upsurge. Drug dealers are trying to create terror in the Adityapur localities. Victim Ramzan’s brother, Sabir Hussain Ansari alias Mehendi informed that three persons, Kadim, Aurangzeb and Moinuddin rushed into the house in H Road of Mohammadan Line and fired at Ramzan. Immediately after the attack, the three fled the spot taking the railway tracks route. Sabir Hussain Ansari alias Mehendi said that in order to prevent brown sugar trade and for his own protection, his brother Ramzan Hussain alias Chowdhary had put up CCTV cameras in his own home and in several places in the neighborhood. Sabir Hussain also accused that the firing was the handiwork of Kadim and Kamruddin. Kamruddin supplies illegal firearms. Since the injured Ramzan was rushed to TMH for treatment, the police could not be informed about the incident. It was only after Ramzan was admitted to TMH where his treatment is going on, that the police was informed.
