Jamshedpur, Sept 15: Union Tribal Affairs Minister cum Khunti MP Arjun Munda said Eklavya residential schools would be opened in Potka and Dumaria very soon. He said the government would spend Rs 24 crore on this project. He was addressing a gathering during a programme organized at Tetla Guesthouse in Potka on Sunday.
Munda said the Potka and Kovali Mandal units had the responsibility of strengthening the party’s base from booth to panchayat level. He said his Ministry was working fast in the field of education, health and employment for the Adivasis. He said the government was serious about achieving its goal to ensure maximum possible facilities for the Adivasis of the state. He said a total of 69 Eklavya residential schools would be opened in the entire state.
Munda said there was need to increase the pace of development at panchayat level by spreading greater awareness among the people. He said those schemes should be implemented which benefit maximum number of people.
Potka MLA Menka Sardar was also present during the event. She said the party workers should work hard to achieve the target of 65 plus seats in the upcoming state Assembly elections.
Others present during the programme included Vibhishan Sardar, Amarjeet Singh Raja, Dulal Mukherjee, Krishna Bhakta, Pintu Sarangi, Uttam Bhakt and Gandhi Mardi.
