Jamshedpur: Chairing a bankers’ meet, Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar expressed dissatisfaction over the slow progress of 59 minute loan sanction under the MSME scheme. He directed bankers to ensure expected progress in the disbursement of such loans. He also directed the bankers to ensure in every branch that at least one applicant each from SC/ST category and one female entrepreneur were sanctioned loans.

The DC directed all bank officials to prioritize all government projects and provide all related benefits to the beneficiaries of the government schemes. He asked the bankers to provide one official in every branch to keep track of progress in MEGP, Mudra Loans, and Social Security insurance.

DC Amit Kumar asked the bankers to implement government schemes related to workers’ welfare.
The meeting was attended by DDC, Director DRDA, LDM and other high officials.
