Jamshedpur: Senior Congress leader Chandrashekhar Dubey, today visited residence of Tata Steel
employee, B.N. Sikdar, who died on Tuesday at Gurgaon hospital while undergoing treatment for critical injuries sustained in the LD-II explosion inside the plant on November 14 was cremated in the city this evening.

The 51-year-old Sikdar, a junior technician at Equipment Maintenance Service (EMS) wing of Tata Steel, received head injuries when the LD gas holder roof collapsed on him and was rushed to critical care unit of Tata Main Hospital.

On November 15 he was airlifted to Medanta Medicity in Gurgaon as his condition failed to improve at Tata Main Hospital’s critical care unit.

He died on November 19.The minister also met Tata Steel officials and visited the site of the explosion on the same day. He was accompanied by senior Congress leader SRA Rizwi Chabban.
