Jamshedpur : Like every previous year Sakchi Satsang Vihar New Kasheedih Tatanagar celebrated Sri Sri Thakur Chandrji 126th birth anniversary with much fanfare on Wednesday. The religious ceremony was led by Sivananda Prasad ( Raju ). Several programs were organized throughout the day.
Vinod Sahu, Amarnath Thakur , Ranjan , Kamal, Aklesh Mahato , Raju , NK Manna played an important role in the success of the programme. Born Anukulchandra Chakravarty, was an Indian Hindu guru, and the founder of the Satsang ashram at Deoghar. He is devotedly referred to as Sri Sri Thakur by his followers. His devotees are known as Satsangees. His disciples believe he was an Avatar or incarnation of God and they regard him as Purusottam (divine man).
He started his mission at Himaitpur, Pabna (now in Bangladesh) by establishing Satsang Ashram there. Later, in 1946, he relocated himself and the Satsang Ashram to Deoghar, Jharkhand.
