Jamshedpur: The Chief Minister’s legislative representative Pawan Agrawal today met Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar urging him to keep Jubilee Park open till 11 pm in consideration of the extreme heat conditions prevailing here. Agrawal argued that Jubilee Park, situated in the heart of the steel city, attracted people from far and near in the city, especially in these summer evenings, to seek relief from the blistering heat. He stated that under present conditions, visitors to the Park had to be hurriedly ‘herded’ out as the gates were to be shut at 9 pm. At Ranchi, the markets are being allowed to function till 11 pm. Agrawal urged the DC to make adequate security arrangements for ladies who came to the Park in the evenings.
