Jamshedpur, Nov 8: Deputy Commissioner cum District Returning Officer Ravi Shankar Shukla and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anoop Birtharay visited several polling booths in Potka and Jugsalai Assembly constituencies on Friday. They visited few households and assured voters of free and fair polling. They said the district administration had made elaborate security arrangements to make sure the elections are held in a free and fair manner. They appealed to voters to participate in the election process by casting their votes without fail.
Shukla shared his phone number with the voters and also other district officials to make their phone numbers available to them. He asked the booth level officers (BLOs) to distribute voters’ slips in all households.
The DC and SSP also inspected several vulnerable polling booths of Potka and Jugsalai Assembly constituencies. Many district officials were present on this occasion.
